About Our Chapter

Captain Jacob Van Meter Chapter currently has 111 members, which includes 11 junior members.  Our members’ ages span from 23 to 93 as we celebrated the chapter’s 75th anniversary on January 10, 2022.  We are a very vibrant chapter – dedicated to historic preservation, education, and patriotism.  We are  very proud of the accomplishments of our members.

Our members have logged in nearly 800 hours of volunteer work in the community the past 6 months in chapter and individual projects. We support Hindman Settlement School, Hardin County One-Room Schoolhouse Summit I restoration, Larue County Reads, and Indian Youth of America Summer Camp.
