  • Revolutionary War patriots memorialized at local park

    A special service involving the Col. John Hardin Chapter Kentucky Society of the Sons of the American Revolution and Daughters of the Capt. Jacob Van Meter Chapter Kentucky Society Daughters of the American Revolution took place lakeside to unveil the American Revolution Patriots Memorial, an obelisk featuring the names of the American Revolution Patriots with a connection to Hardin County.

  • Vietnam Veterans Are Honored

    Captain Jacob Van Meter Chapter NSDAR was honored to recognize 50 Vietnam War veterans on Friday, November 17 at the Brown Pusey House in Elizabethtown. Veterans and their guests were invited to participate in the DAR Rituals with music following by Lisa Greene and Brother Randy Mitchell. Kentucky State Representative Tim Moore, Col USAF Reserves, gave remarks thanking Vietnam War veterans for their service to our nation protecting and preserving our freedom.

  • ​​Radcliff Veterans Center honored with commemorative flag

    The Captain Jacob Van Meter Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution Vice-Regent Sharon Williams, left, and Regent Joyce Miller, right,  were honored to present Israel Ray, administrator for the Radcliff Veterans Center, an American flag. The flag was flown over the United States Capitol in honor of the opening of the Radcliff Veterans Center commemorated by the Captain Jacob Van Meter Chapter NSDAR at the request of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. The Veterans Center is scheduled to open in April.
