Van Meter Fort Society – Children of the American Revolution
The mission of the Children of the American Revolution is to train good citizens, develop leaders and promote love of the United States of America and its heritage among young people. Any boy or girl, younger than 22, is eligible for membership who is lineally descended from a man or woman who rendered material aide to the cause of the American independence as a soldier, sailor, civil officer or recognized patriot.
Founded in September 2011, the Van Meter Fort Society Children of the American Revolution works to educate children, and preserve and celebrate local history.
